When the BeautyBlender first came on the scene, there were many eyebrows raised. Many makeup addicts asked, “Why do I need a sponge to apply my foundation?” If you haven’t heard by now and don’t know, you might ask, “what exactly is a BeautyBlender?” A BeautyBlender is a makeup sponge that helps you apply your makeup flawlessly and gives you an airbrushed finish. You may also ask why you can’t use a regular sponge, or think that using one will give you the same look. No, it will not! Don’t worry – your girls at EGL are here to tell you why you need the BeautyBlender in your life, what’s so great about it, and why you should believe the hype.

Size and Shape: Traveling with makeup tools has never been easier. You can pack hundreds of BeautyBlenders in your makeup bag and you won’t feel a thing. Because the BeautyBlender is small and weightless, it doesn’t take up too much space in your makeup bag like your bulky brushes would. This makes it really easy to travel with. Also the shape of the sponge is versatile. One side makes it more suitable to apply foundation and the other side is meant to get in small areas, like under your eyes and around your nose.

Multi-Purposed Use: Not only can you use this one tool for foundation, you can use it for concealer and powder. You don’t need three different brushes for a beat face; you have all you need in one BeautyBlender.

Results: This tool gives ANY foundation the most flawless finish possible. We recommend that you always wet your BeautyBlender to get the best results because the water expands the sponge, making the sponge distribute the product evenly and as close to perfection as possible. No streaks, no splotches, no missed areas because this sponge applies to the skin like magic.

One of a Kind: This sponge is original because instead of water rolling off the surface when it gets wet, it soaks up the water and gives you an airbrushed finish. When the sponge is wet, your makeup spreads evenly and blends beautifully onto your skin. Minimal effort is required when using this product and you don’t have to work so hard blending everything together. You also don’t have to wait on it to dry like your makeup brushes.

The Brush Cleaner: The BlenderCleanser Solid that comes with this product is amazing as well. The cleanser looks like a bar of soap, but for your makeup tools. It makes the sponge easy to clean and also cleans your brushes just as good. Since it’s a bar, it lasts so much longer than a brush shampoo would, so you’re getting more bang for your buck.

There are dupes of the BeautyBlender on the market that may give you the same results, but the ladies of EGL love this little thing. The BeautyBlender is used by many celebrity makeup artists to get the perfect foundation application. It also won the Allure Best of Beauty Award five times and we can definitely see why. Also the Micro Mini BeautyBlender was recently released to help get in smaller areas and to achieve a more concentrated application. You can get the BeautyBlender alone, or in one of its many kits that come with different accessories and extra sponges. This product retails for $20 alone at Sephora, Ulta, Ricky’s, specialty stores, and select department stores.
